Kids can make a difference in the fight against cancer in our own community!

Do you know someone who has been impacted by breast cancer? Nearly every kid knows someone who has. A mother, aunt, grandmother, or friend.

In a global effort to raise awareness, October has been designated as the National Breast Cancer Awareness month or Pink Month, with its purpose to raise awareness about breast cancer and educate children with stories about those that have fought, are fighting or lost the battle against breast cancer.

In the spirit of Pink October, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the incredible resilience of Mrs. Karen, a recent cancer survivor. Her journey has been nothing short of inspiring, and it’s a testament to the strength that can be found within all of us.

Mrs. Karen is deeply thankful for the outpouring of support, the generous donations, the food, the heartfelt letters, and the overwhelming love that our community has shown during this time. It’s a reminder of the power of coming together to uplift one another, especially when facing life’s toughest challenges.

Stories like this serves as a beacon of hope and a reminder that, with the support of a caring community, we can triumph over adversity. It’s a beautiful testament to the human spirit and the bonds that tie us all together. This Pink October, we stand united, stronger than ever, in the face of cancer and in our commitment to spreading love, awareness, and support.

Throughout this month, there are numerous ways for you to get involved, show support, make donations, or volunteer your time to help those who are on their journey towards healing.
