Welcome to our EHAT blog! In this blog we hope to write a little bit of everything. We will talk about our students, our curriculum, important news about the school, what the kids are learning, and how we are learning about it.
Welcome to the new school year! We are so excited to be back teaching, learning and making new friends. This week we focused a lot in sorting colors. Sorting is a great exercise for our kids, it is important as a math skill, as fine motor skills and our daily life skills.
This week at summer camp, our kids learned a lot about the Mexican culture, hands on. We learned how to make corn tortillas, with yellow and blue corn. We also made gorditas with beans. The blue corn confused the kids, but they loved eating them! They wanted more and more.
Every Friday we have a field trip where our children have a BLAST while learning. Our first field trip was a visit to a local educational farm, Hills of Milk and Honey. Our children walked among chickens, petted rabbits and watched the whole process of how goats are milked.
It is very interesting to see the differences between the important dates of Mexico and those of the United States. Here at EHAT, as a Spanish Immersion school we love to celebrate our diversity and our different cultures. For example, in Mexico, Labor Day is...
